What a match – 3-0 in the first 30mins and a second half of resolute defending! TAA was Man of the Match in the second half – absolutely superb up against Sane. Don’t think we managed a shot on target in the second half – barely got out of our half and spent most of the time in and around our own box BUT managed to snuff out City and they didn’t manage a shot on target.
Biggest worry was a injury concern to Salah – tweak of the groin could be costly to our final matches of the season. Firmino tired in the second half too and with the toffeenoses up next before the trip to the Etihad, our squad is looking thin at the moment.
Hopefully Can will be back soon – especially as Hendo will miss the return and we may need an away goal in this tie too…
Overall a great result BUT we must remember we are only half way through at this stage and the away tie will be tough. We may be scoring freely but they can too…
Well done Liverpool but we still have a lot of hard work to do…
