In fairness, its no less than LFC deserved as they had been quite dominant in possession without really creating too many chances. A couple of saves – 1 point blank from Salah and 1 a free kick from TAA but most of the attacks broke down through a sloppy pass, offside or defending. Its the first game so expect a bit more accuracy and touch – a few passes have been over hit or players just a few cm’s away from making a better connection and we could have been 4 or maybe 5 up by now.

At the other end, WHU have had a few chances but rarely hit the target. A header at Alisson is all he has had to deal with – the rest have not been on target.

LFC ‘Should’ go on from that 2nd goal now and add more. They have appeared to be playing within themselves and its not like we don’t have a strong bench to go on and stick a few more goals in rather than look to hold on to what we have got with ‘tiring’ players.
