Well that was a hard fought 3pts in the end. Mane got the scoring underway with a great 1-2 with Firmino. A mistake by VVD nearly threw away 2pts but a converted penalty by Milner ended up deciding this match.

Liverpool will and have played better and come away losing. Salah is certainly struggling right now and its showing on the pitch as well. It looks as if he is ‘desperate’ to score which is affecting our chances of putting the ball in the net. Its not ‘just’ the wayward shooting, its also the amount of players he wants to take on before losing the ball, holding onto the ball too long and not passing quick enough etc.
International break now and next up is Tottenham’s visit to Anfield…
