3-1 final score. The turning point in the 2nd half was the sight of Milner and Hendo getting stripped as LFC started to put more passes together, not giving the ball away cheaply. However, when they came on, there was much more desire, more drive, more determination. Hendo’s finish wasn’t the ‘best’ on the night but it showed desire and passion to get into the box for Firmino to lay the ball to.

Salah’s goal was the pick – carrying the ball from well within his own half after Hendo’s headed pass set him on his way.
Until Milner and Hendo got ready, LFC looked like they were running out of steam, getting more and more ‘nervy’. The experience and ‘old’ heads really settled the team and their energy and drive, the aggression and hunger were massive.
That’s one hurdle taken care of – back on top but 1 more game played. That’s a gauntlet laid down…
