We didn’t deserve to lose but we need to play better!!! Adrian ends up the Hero (although he did unfairly concede a penalty in injury time…)
We got a bit lucky in the Shoot-out too with a couple of shots that found their way in despite the keeper getting something on the ball.
This wasn’t the team that lost to Utd on the weekend but they looked hungry and strong whilst we struggled to get out of 2nd/3rd gear for long periods. We certainly didn’t look as fit as they were.
At the end of the day though, we deserved to win, had a Penalty wrongly awarded against us but Adrian made the winning save considering he wasn’t expected to play much of a role. Not bad for his first start…
