Well that was a LOT tougher than it should have been and for a ‘mistake’, we could have left with a point at best. Gini got the goal as his shot squirmed through the GK but opportunities not taken by either team kept the game on edge throughout. At the end of the day, Liverpool played poorly yet take all 3pts to move 8pts clear – although everyone else is yet to play.
Next up, Liverpool return to Anfield to take on Salzburg in the CL on Wednesday night before Leicester City travel there on Saturday afternoon…
