Tonight we saw Mane and Salah working very hard to get back, to make those tackles and then to try and be Coutinho in driving forward and picking the right passes.
Milner did well tonight too and Gini put himself about more than usual but until we get that ‘flair’ back into midfield, Coutinho will be missed. He also used to pull players out of position to get space for others and it was often him that scored the goals against the Teams that only want to defend – draw fouls to get free kicks or shoot from distance.
