Pity VVD has a ‘slight’ injury and misses todays match. Surprised Karius gets the nod as Migs has appeared to be the 1st choice for EPL. Otherwise, the line-up doesn’t surprise at all.

I would rather have City or Bayerns results – only dropped 5pts (1 loss and 1 draw – compared to our 5 draws – 10pts dropped) but can’t complain out our goals for. I bet out goals against column is higher than all of these too…

7 attempts so far to their one. Still don’t know why we are not playing against 10men but only a 1-0 lead is never comfortable in a cup-tie.
I don’t think the Ref has got a grip on this game and letting it get a bit too aggressive and tempers are rising…

Its been a physical game so far but that was surely a Red Card. You can’t push players into the crowd like that – its no wonder Firmino reacted but that shouldn’t be allowed at all and go unpunished!!!

Interesting selection – VVD straight in which seemed ‘unlikely’ with Klopps comments – both Lovren and Klaven on the bench too.

A vital 3pts!! Looks like we were going to throw away yet another 2pts but Lovren and Klaven (with VVD arriving…) combine to get the winner in Injury time. Liverpool have surely snatched victory, and it’s the centre-backs who combine to score. Lovren does really well to flick a free-kick goalwards and Klavan is there at the back post to nod in almost on the line.
