Disappointing in front of goal – should have scored 4 or more and Alisson in the end saved our bacon with a BIG save. We lost Milner and TAA with potential injuries too and with Gomez out, RB is looking quite bare for players. yes he caught mertens after the ball but definitely a great tackle – no worse than Mee’s on Gomez that fractured his leg!

Great tackle by VVD, ref played on but mertens rolling around caused the Ref to book him – ridiculous!!!!

In a lot of ways, this was a predictable line-up. With the ‘need’ to score goals – at least 2 if we keep a clean sheet, I am a little surprised by the Midfield. You have to wonder whether Kieta or Shaqiri would provide and/or create more chances.
