Team to play Everton: Adrian, Alexander-Arnold, Van Dijk, Lovren, Robertson, Wijnaldum, Milner, Lallana, Mane, Origi, Shaqiri
Subs: Kelleher, Keita, Firmino, Salah, Gomez, Henderson, Oxlade-Chamberlain
Well that was a Surprise – NO Salah or Firmino as both drop to the bench. The back 5 was predictable but I am surprised that Klopp has picked the team he has to play a Merseyside Derby with City winning and LCFC playing Watford. Of course the team ‘should’ be good enough to win BUT its a Merseyside Derby!!
Gini and Mane are not surprising, Milner too but I wasn’t expecting Lallana, Shaqiri and Origi ALL to start. Shaq hasn’t played for months competitively but hopefully has something to prove and can help unlock a stubborn defence.
Its a strong bench with Hendo, Ox, Keita and Gomez alongside Salah and Firmino. Hopefully, none are ‘needed’ – either because of injury or chasing the game and can come on to enjoy the match.
