Subs: Winterbottom, Clayton, Dixon-Bonner, Bearne, Clarkson, Norris, Stewart.
This was always going to be a team of youth players. Tony Gallacher, Isaac Christie-Davies, Luis Longstaff, Morgan Boyes and Thomas Hill make their senior Liverpool debuts while 22-year-old Pedro Chirivella takes the captain’s armband.
Rhian Brewster misses out through injury with the average age of tonight’s starting XI just 18 years and three months old.
With nothing to lose as far as the result goes, lets hope they play well and don’t get humiliated. The experience could be a massive boost for this team of players and show the world what they are capable of. It will be interesting to see how far they are from making it to senior level football and hope they take their opportunity to shine…
