Half time and the match feels over. 4-0 down and it seems like Boys against men – which it is.The youngest player, Harvey Elliott has been LFC’s best player and Hoever has also impressed. It could have been different as LFC had two good chances to score but the keeper made a couple of good saves but once Villa scored and got a lucky second minutes later, the complexion changed.
Liverpool had more chances and more possession in that half but goals count. They certainly don’t deserve to be 4-0 down at all but it seems impossible to get a result now. Hopefully they can ‘win’ the second half…
