Liverpool look quite strong in possession but lacking in defence and have relied on Alisson to keep the score down and in fairness, their keeper has been called upon too but LFC haven’t created as many ‘good’ chances by not moving the ball fast enough, some poor/heavy touches, picking the wrong pass and trying to beat too many players.
Its not surprising our defence hasn’t been as solid looking as you would hope with only 2 recognised defenders and Gomez doesn’t have a LOT of experience either – playing alongside Hendo in his first match at CB.
Lallana in front of the defence isn’t that protective either. Hendo was certainly out of position for their goal – leaving a man free in front of Alisson to knock in to an open net after Alisson had saved the initial shot.
There is a LOT of room to improve and Origi in Particular, whilst has got on the ball well at times, has wasted possession.
