It looks like we have Xherdan Shaqiri in the bag. He is in for a medical this morning. A really good signing for us; he should get us a few goals from midfield, and coming on as a sub he could get us out of jail on a few occasions when we are struggling to get a breakthrough. He has always had that bit of magic in him.

Two changes, one forced upon Klopp with Mane\’s injury. Coutinho joining Firmino and Salah up front is a formidable attack! After the disappointing 1-1 draw at Newcastle we simply can\’t allow Manchester United to get 10 points ahead of us in the table! It is a big ask but I\’m going for a home win!

I am still puzzled as to why Klopp is messing about with the goalkeeper position. What our defence needs at the moment is stability and continuity. I don\’t think changing the goalkeeper every game is necessary or useful.

I think it’s going to be fascinating to see how Klopp intends to use him. Central midfield is his preferred position, and it’s where he played at Southampton but Wenger has tended to use him as a winger. The guy as all the attributes to be a success but his career so far as flattered to deceive.

In terms of choreography I guess the timing of Keita joining us does pave the way for Coutinho\’s departure to Barcelona in 12 months time. Personally, I would place a central defender as more of a priority at the moment!

I think the wheels have come off the truck at LFC at the moment.. Slow progress and frustrations in the transfer market, the Coutinho situation, not a good time for us. But things quickly change in football and 3 points and a good performance against Palace will put a different gloss on things
