Really sad to hear about the passing of the great Tommy Smith. Will never forget his goal in the 1977 European Cup Final, which was his 600th appearance for the club. Legend is an overused word but Tommy Smith truly was RIP Tommy Smith
Full-time 2-0 – perhaps should have been a few more BUT the important factor was a clean sheet to take to Porto – no away goals conceded.
Not as big a win as it should have been but an away goal for Liverpool will leave Porto needing 4.
