Team to play Brighton: Mignolet, Robertson, Lovren, Alexander-Arnold, Milner, Can, Wijnaldum, Henderson, Coutino, Salah, Firmino.
Subs: Karius, Sturridge, Grujic, Klavan, Mane, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Solanke

Robertson in, Milner too – no Moreno, no Matip, no Gomez… Klavan on the bench as our only ‘defensive’ option. Unsure who will partner Lovren –
Milner with TAA at RB and Robertson at LB??

What a strike from Mo Salah the substitute!!
Credit goes to Mane too, who fights at the byline, lifts one to the back post for Salah, but the Egyptian has so much to do.
He controls his volley from the left of the box, 12 yards out, and he’s slammed it into the back of the net. What a goal, and he’s on fire!

Liverpool just start to turn the screw, as Gomez is played in on the right byline. He JUST about gets there to centre, Solanke does well to nip it to Mane, who beautifully dinks it over the onrushing Grant.

A little strange in Klopps team but it does show the depth we have now. The fact we can leave Coutinho, Salah, Hendo, Milner etc on the bench is testament to our depth.
I think if we had Salah and Coutinho in instead of Solanke and the Ox, we would be looking a lot more potent up front.
A win tonight could take us into the top 4 if results go our way…

I know we have a packed schedule of games coming up with Christmas around the corner, and Klopp will want to rest players, but Stoke is such a tough venue that I don’t think we will offer much up front, which suggests he is going for a draw or hoping to nick one with Salah or Coutinho coming off the bench. Solanke has been patient waiting for his chance and I would be delighted if he proved me wrong and got a goal for us tonight!

Liverpool win a corner on the right-hand side and it’s powered home by Emre Can! A great header from the German. It’s his first goal of the season.
Emre Can rare goal!!, sign that contract.
I really hope we do manage to keep hold of him… He says its not a ‘Money’ decision and you can’t keep a player who is looking for a ‘new’ challenge in a different league. Never the less, I hope we convince him that his future is at Anfield.
