Liverpool really do not seem to be at the same intensity, the same desire or quality we have come to expect in the first half. Loose passes, not pressing as intently, not passing accurately, poor touches and poor decisions too.

What a poor first half!! We have been quite lacklustre in defence and not converted the few chances we created – City have been more clinical but too much space, too much time and quite rash and/or flat footed….
Seems like the week off since winning the Premier League has caused a drop off in intensity and desire…

Liverpool name the same starting XI, the team that beat Crystal Palace 4-0 last time out.
Milner returns to the bench after picking up a hamstring injury in the first match of the restart in place of Lovren as the only change on the bench.

A great game and the score could have been much higher. Great goals from TAA, Salah, Fabinho and Mane capped off a great dominant display from the Reds to move 23pts ahead with 7 to play – although City who play Chelsea tomorrow do have a game in hand who must win now to have a mathematical chance of retaining the EPL trophy.

Some great play from the front 3! Mane passes into Firmino who passes to Salah and his defence splitting through ball to Mane gives him a 1v1 chance which he calmly slides into the net to give Liverpool a 4-0 lead with 20mins to go…

Not the greatest game and maybe feel the happier with the result after the way we played and the chances they created.
Oh well, next up is Crystal Palace at home before the Man City game which effectively becomes the first opportunity now to win the league assuming Liverpool beat Palace at Anfield…
