  • 2nd has been an absolute disaster!!, fringe players have let LFC down and Klopp.

    • Yet again an example of where we are failing. Its that lack of quality in the final 3rd. Not saying our players are ‘poor’ but we have so much control, so many chances yet miss the target. If we were 3-4 nil up at half time, that would be a ‘fair’ scoreline considering the amount of possession and ‘opportunities’ (if the final ball was ‘better’ or…[Read more]

Woodburn on at the start of the 2nd half as Coutinho makes way. A good first half from Phillipe and maybe withdrawn with 1 eye on the upcoming games as he returns to match fitness.

  • Great to see Woodburn on! Am sure Coutinho is ok

13 shots – but only 3 on target!! 76% possession too yet Leicester 2 shots, 1 on target. I am getting fed up with ‘stats’ like these ‘every’ match yet people still go on about how ‘great’ our attack is! Its only ‘effective’ if we are putting the ball in the net or at least hitting the target and making the keeper work!

  • Some nice stuff being played but dare I say it without the final product

  • 14 mins gone and plenty of possession but no clear chances

  • Coutinho and Oxlade-Chamberlain start, Ings and Markovic on the bench
Liverpool Team: Ward, Flanagan, Gomez, Klavan, Robertson, Henderson, Grujic, Wijnaldum, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Coutinho, […]

    • My eyes are on Oxlade-Chamberlain to see he does starting in a red shirt. Would have like to see Woodburn start. I had forgotten we still had multi million pound Markovic! 🙂

      • He’s been OK – not shown ‘anything’ yet and still waiting to see ‘something’ that justifies our interest. I never really rated him at Arsenal. I know he can have his ‘moments’ but more often than not, justified why he has never been more than a ‘squad’ player. Klopp may well help him realise his potential, deliver the ‘good’ performances he can display on a regular basis. I also know he hasn’t had time to settle and a ‘match’ in great circumstances yet – although even with our dominance today, he has had a chance to force himself up the pecking order.

Team to play Leicester: Ward, Flanagan, Gomez, Klavan, Robertson, Henderson, Grujic, Wijnaldum, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Coutinho, Solanke

Subs: Karius, Milner, Moreno, Ings, Markovic, Woodburn, Alexander-Arnold

    • Not too much of a surprise in the starting XI I think – based on his comments yesterday and the busy schedule.
However the bench has a few surprises – especially Markovic who was expected to be sold. Ings is back too. I thought Woodburn may have had a Start but no surprise he has made the bench. I thought Salah may have been on the bench to add…[Read more]

  • LFC have the firepower to win the ‪PL‬…

    • Well we have pace, skill and work rate in Salah, Coutinho and Firmino respectively BUT I am severely disappointed in our ‘firepower’ in terms of accuracy and efficiency.
Yes we are scoring goals but we created chances to have 35 shots against Burnley but only managed 1 goal. We obliterated Sevilla too in terms of pace, chances created and shots -…[Read more]

  • I was personally drooling over this Philippe Coutinho moment of magic vs Burnley

  • We all need to stick together, no knee jirk reactions. If LFC weren’t creating chances then ‘yes’ be worried.

  • Jürgen Klopp “very” angry about LFC vs Burnley on Saturday!!…

  • Fan rant after yesterday, worth a listen, certainly a few home truths!

Interesting read and great to hear Coutinho\’s view. Its what I would expect from him considering everything he had said prior to the Summer but also great to hear what he thinks of his immediate future.

Of course it could be \’media\’ spin, saying the right words etc but for us LFC fans, a lot of what he says, is what he has always said…
