It was against the bottom side in the league but 3 points is 3 points and keeps us well in the race for fourth place! Firmino and Coutinho are phenomenal these days!
It certainly turned into a cake walk BUT it wasn’t as convincing as it should have been. The chances we wasted in the first half, the complacency and at times selfish play in the final third, could have haunted us. As Carragher said during the game, the longer a game goes 1-0 – especially against teams like LFC, the opposition grow in confidence and even think they may have chance of nicking a point.
Fortunately we got a quick goal in the 2nd half and then 2 quick goals in succession to break them – enabling us to have complete control – although Migs pulled off a good save to keep a clean sheet!!
