Looked like we missed Coutinho last night having no one capable of unpicking that stubborn Swansea defence
Agree – it was far too slow in Midfield and no-one had the ability to beat players, draw defenders out of position, get free kicks in dangerous areas, shoot from range accurately or find the right pass to unleash our front 3 behind a stubborn defence. A fit Coutinho has that ability to turn up the pace, create and find space and lift the team as whole.
Really think we should have replaced him – surely they must of known Phil would leave sooner rather than later and had all winter to look at alternatives. Fekir (Lyon) would be the obvious replacement and Pulisic too would have been a good choice. Lallana isn’t Phil and the Ox isn’t Lallana so we have lost our midfield creativity.
