Half-time. LFC lead through Salah’s goal but the domination we have had, we really should be further ahead. You have to wonder whether we would be much further ahead if Firmino and especially Coutinho were playing. Interesting team selection. Robertson replacing the injured Moreno and Hendo, Milner and Ox are in Midfield. Solanke gets the nod ahead of Firmino. No Sturridge but Ings gets a call up to the Bench.
The bench is strong with Firmino, Coutinho, Gini and Can with TAA, Ings and Karius rounding it out.

Its worrying – our defence is already looking stretched and Matip isn;t expected back before January. TAA and Gomez don’t look like they can play 2 matches a week – every week for a prolonged period. I think Gomez was moved to CB against Spartak to see how he coped with those around him as we have issues with Lovren (injury rather than ability in…[Read more]

Big game tomorrow against our local rivals. With Chelsea losing, we have a chance at overtaking them for 3rd place.
December still has 6 games for LFC. After the derby, LFC are at home to WBA (Weds 13th), followed by two away games at Bournemouth (Sun 17th) and Arsenal (Fri 22nd). After Christmas we have two home games against Swansea (Tues 26th)…[Read more]

Great to see us keep going in the 2nd half too – not let them get a chance to get back into it – something we have done too often.
Hopefully invest in some new players in January – most notably in defensive positions and No6. Some big teams like Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are in the pot for us to face and we don’t want a shaky defence against them… -

Salah gets his goal. Can with a great ball finds Milner who heads it back across goal. Salah takes his time before firing it into the top of the net!
