Game over – 3pts and a 5-1 victory. No goal for Salah this time – just an Assist. Firmino (2) gave us a 3-0 lead after Can’s opener. Coutinho added to the score after Brighton’s Penalty gave them a lifeline and a deflection off of Coutinho’s curling effort rounded off the scoring.

Two Liverpool changes between those goals, with Dominic Solanke and Marko Grujic replacing Firmino and Henderson. Salah was replaced by the Ox earlier.

Coutinho is not finished there! He carries the ball forward as Liverpool go on the attack again, and his curling effort is deflected into the net. A slice of luck with that goal but no less than his performance deserves.

Philippe Coutinho has been outstanding today and he caps his performance with a clever goal from a free kick. Brighton line up a lengthy wall in an attempt to stop him, but as they jump the Brazilian rolls his effort along the floor and into the bottom corner with the GK rooted to the spot.

I really hope we do manage to keep hold of him… He says its not a ‘Money’ decision and you can’t keep a player who is looking for a ‘new’ challenge in a different league. Never the less, I hope we convince him that his future is at Anfield.
