It’s the logical way to go with team selection for this game. I think there are enough battlers in this team to get past the toffees! Come on you Reds!
-
I was still surprised at Klaven coming in and Moreno on the bench. Clyne makes some sense as a replacement to TAA but Moreno is the most like Robbo we have.
It looks more ‘defensive’ with these changes but hope its still good enough to give us 3pts…

Masterson? I just looked him up, our U23s centre-back, what a game for him to be involved in! But does show with our injuries we are down to our bare bones. Sods law this is the case when such a big match comes along! Come on you Reds, we have nothing to fear, let’s take at least a two goal lead to the Etihad!
-
All I can is I hope Lovren has a ‘good’ game but with the pace City have with De Bruyne passing the ball, we need a very disciplined performance. I don’t think how midfield has the strength to deal with their’s IF we let them have time on the ball…
Come on you REDS!!! YNWA-
Its also telling that Masterson is on the bench – with Matip, Gomez and Klaven out…

Salah given a rest but on the bench along with Van Dijk, Ox and TAA too but with Gomez, Matip/Lovren, Milner and Lallana coming in, its not a ‘weak’ team. Moreno starts too – hopefully with something to prove after Robertsons impressive form. Robertson took his chance with Moreno’s injury – although took a game or two.
I did wonder whether Firmino would be rested with Ings coming in. With a 5-0 lead, Ings could have been given a start with Mane and Lallana. Its clear though that Klopp hasn’t taken this match lightly and with a big game on Saturday too… -
This is a strong side or is it just evidence of what a great squad we have these days? I did expect to see more changes with the Man Utd game at the weekend. Would have liked to have seen Danny Ings get a start but glad to see Adam Lallana getting back in the frame. Come on you Reds!

Salah starting is fantastic news for us! Wijnaldum should do a good job in place of Henderson
