Predictable line-up. I had thought Hendo would start and Milner on the bench but the rest virtually pick themselves.
The bench is quite ‘defensive’ with only Lallana and Solanke as ‘attacking’ options. No Gini either. I thought Ings may have been on the bench but Solanke gets the nod.
It looks like Klopp wants to get ahead in the first hour or so and then shut up shop with the bench choices…
Come on you REDS!!! YNWA -
The Ox has surprised me, he is becoming almost an automatic starter, I didn’t see that when he signed, apart from the price tag of course. Robertson is another summer signing who is a cert to start these days. I like Milner but am surprised he gets the nod ahead of Hendo. This team should have far too much for West Ham, and let’s face it David Moyes never beats us!

Salah given a rest but on the bench along with Van Dijk, Ox and TAA too but with Gomez, Matip/Lovren, Milner and Lallana coming in, its not a ‘weak’ team. Moreno starts too – hopefully with something to prove after Robertsons impressive form. Robertson took his chance with Moreno’s injury – although took a game or two.
I did wonder whether Firmino would be rested with Ings coming in. With a 5-0 lead, Ings could have been given a start with Mane and Lallana. Its clear though that Klopp hasn’t taken this match lightly and with a big game on Saturday too…
This is a strong side or is it just evidence of what a great squad we have these days? I did expect to see more changes with the Man Utd game at the weekend. Would have liked to have seen Danny Ings get a start but glad to see Adam Lallana getting back in the frame. Come on you Reds!
