18mins to go and LFC are still struggling to get shots in but actually starting to get their rhythm. Mane had a chance after the restart and Salah has hit the post but Red Star are defending as a unit and keeping their shape.
A goal may well open them up for a second or more but LFC need to get something soon…

2nd half – Gomez on for TAA and Firmino on for Sturridge. Not surprised to see Firmino coming on but a little surprised that TAA has been replaced. I would have thought that we needed to attack…

A POOR first half – 2-0 down and LFC are NOT playing well as a team – they have been slow, lacking aggression and strolling around. Its getting worse – absolutely shocking!!! can’t hold on to possession, giving away the ball cheaply when we have it, not making tackles, blocks etc and not playing as a team at all – not at all – POOR!!!

The big surprise is that Firmino, LFC’s 2nd highest scorer in Europe, is on the bench. The second surprise is that Matip starts in place of Gomez who is also on the bench. Lallana comes in for Fabinho too who didn’t have a great game on Saturday. Sturridge comes in for Firmino too.

A point away at Arsenal should be a decent one but can’t help feeling disappointed with this one. Top of the league for the time being!

I agree – I felt disappointed and more so when more was made of the Mane disallowed goal and even the penalty claim when VVD was clattered into late by the GK – of these two had been given (as discussed on Sky Sports Ref watch), we would have won 3-1. 2pts dropped? maybe but overall LFC weren\’t at their best and under more pressure so probably a draw was fair but after taking the lead, they should have seen this game out!!!

Milner smashes the ball in after a cross from Mane is punched out by the GK. LFC should have been 1-0 up after Mane wrongly had a goal chalked off for offside – although its been far from \’good\’ by LFC who haven\’t matched Arsenal overall so far…

Another 3pts to move top (at least until Citeh play at spurs on Monday). A double from Mane after Salah’s first half opener and Shaqiri’s first for Liverpool the scorers but with so much domination, it should have been more – guilty of over playing, trying to be too clever and intricate.
