The only Surprise is perhaps the midfield line-up with both Hendo and Milner picked to play alongside Fabinho. As usual though, Klopp rotates the midfield so its not that much of a surprise.

I still think we needed1-2 big signings. We will see when we are playing every 3/4 days as well as travelling over Europe and participating in the club world cup too…
We haven’t really played anyone yet – not anyone we weren’t expected to beat and only playing once a week. I am not saying that we were wrong not to invest in the squad with all…[Read more]

Fair points, we will really see when fixtures pileup and injuries start to take their toll. Although we have survived losing arguably the best goalkeeper in the league. I think it will be a different matter if we lose Firmino or Mane also Salah. We didn’t have them in preseason and it really showed. As soon as they returned we were back on track.

I thought we were very impressive, in deference and attack. I like the Van Dijk – Matip pairing and in front of them Fabinho is awesome. Front three unplayable. Klopp was right we didn’t need to strengthen in the summer

Liverpool maintain their 100% start to the season and also make it 13 wins in a row – a new club record. Its also Liverpool’s first clean sheet heading into the International break.
A great August for Liverpool as they also won the Super Cup…

Salah has looked desperate to score and selfishly ignoring players in better positions – maybe why Mane is a bit upset as Salah ignored him moments before.

TAA’s goal has been taken off of him as a deflection as he crossed the ball caused it to loop in to the back of the net – at least that’s the decision but it still counts. Mane added a 2nd a few minutes later to give Liverpool a 2-0 lead at the break.
