Whilst we await news on Fekir (who has supposedly passed his medical – after a 2nd opinion), LFC have announced that Can and Flanagan will leave the club once their contract expires – along with Toni Gomes, Paulo Alves, Mich’el Parker, Jordan Williams, Anthony Glennon, Jordan Hunter and Harvey Whyte who will also depart, while Yan Dhanda has…[Read more]

With Lallana (30 and ineffective), Milner getting on, Can going, Coutinho gone and the Ox out injured at least until Nov, we have signed the Brazilian Fabhino (24) from Monaco. Still want to see Fekir to sign as we miss that creativity, that ability to score from midfield and great on set-pieces too. Hopefully Fabhino and Kieta will bring that…[Read more]

Fabinho sounds a sold and versatile addition. Him and Hendo in our midfield willl make a good pairing. But if we are going to spend £40 + other areas are a much higher priority- goalkeeper and strike. Hope we see exciting additions in these areas too. Feel we need something different up front sometimes. Gareth Bale why not is what I say!
-
I think Hendo’s days are numbered – He won’t get in the starting line up with Fabinho and Kieta fit. Fab is a defensive mid – with a brain! Like Can – who kept Hendo out! Like I said above, we have an ageing midfield who may work hard, but don’t provide the skill or creativity to compete with the ‘best’. What we need is player like Fekir,…[Read more]

My verdict on last night:
1) we need more strength in depth. Real Madrid could call on Gareth Bale from the bench. Who could we call upon?
2) we need a new goalkeeper and have done for several years. I’m not a big fan of Mignolet but I am as sure as I can be he would not have made two howlers like that. Klopp has been wrong to put his faith…[Read more]

We definitely need more depth – we have been saying that all season – yet we still finished in the top 4 and reached the CL final. You can’t blame Klopp for a ‘work in progress’ and ‘lack of trophies’ when teams like City, RM etc have massive squads and budgets too. Karius is still statistically better than Mignolet – whether Migs would have made…[Read more]

No surprises in the starting XI for the ‘biggest’ prize in European Club Football.
The bench has a few surprises with Lallana and Can included – Can especially with the injury and predicted move to Juve. No place for Ings as Solanke gets the nod and Woodburn too is not in the squad either.

Whilst securing CL football is a ‘successful’ season, we finished 25pts behind the leaders – and we beat them too. We really could have done so much better but 12 draws – the highest in the top 6 with only 5 losses really made the gap from the top so much more emphatic and why we still hadn’t claimed CL football until the final day. The final…[Read more]
