Milner starts in midfield while skipper Henderson has to make do with a place on the bench
Liverpool Team: Karius, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Lovren, Moreno, Milner, Wijnaldum, Can, Salah, Coutinho, […]
-
Still don’t understand what Klopp is up to with the goalkeeper position, particularly after Mignolet keeping a clean sheet on Saturday. I do agree with bringing Milner in for Henderson! Smart move!
-
Hendo really needed a break!!
I think its smart to rotate the keepers – especially as they are all decent and won’t improve without game time – need them ALL fit and alert too so its important to keep them all ‘ready’ and fighting for selection!

Coutinho replaces injured Mane up front
Liverpool Team: Mignolet, Gomez, Matip, Lovren, Moreno, Henderson, Can, Wijnaldum, Salah, Coutinho, Firmino.Subs: Karius, Alexander-Arnold, Klavan, Milner, […]

-
Two changes, one forced upon Klopp with Mane’s injury. Coutinho joining Firmino and Salah up front is a formidable attack! After the disappointing 1-1 draw at Newcastle we simply can’t allow Manchester United to get 10 points ahead of us in the table! It is a big ask but I’m going for a home win!
-
yes changes are ok, our attacking threat is frightening #Firmino #Coutinho #Salah
-
-
If I was Manchester United right now I would be petrified of our forward line. I have a good feeling about this game, I don’t know why, I’ve just woken up feeling strangely positive. I think the new Kenny Dalglish stand, the atmosphere, the desire to prove a point after a slightly disappointing start to the season, will come together and see us over the line! Come on you Red men!
-
Need an early GOOAAAAALLLLL from either #Firmino #Coutinho #Salah

Sturridge starts as Firmino has to settle for a place on the bench
Liverpool Team: Mignolet, Gomez, Matip, Lovren, Moreno, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Coutinho, Salah, Mane Sturridge.
Subs: Karius, Klavan, Milner, […]
-
No Firmino!, dropped or rested? WOWWWWWW
-
I think he has been dropped because of his goals return. Sturridge has been brought in today because I think Klopp believes that he can get a goal
-
Firmino looked tired and has run himself into the ground. I really thought Klopp would have started him though as we have a 2wk international break coming up.

3 changes as Mane, Salah, Coutinho and Firmino start
Liverpool Team; Karius, Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, Matip, Moreno, Henderson, Can, Coutinho, Salah, Mane, Firmino.Subs; Mignolet, Flanagan, Klavan, Milner, W […]

I am very happy with this attacking lineup! With Coutinho pulling the strings and Mane and Salah running them ragged I can only see one result!
-
Our fab4

I am still puzzled as to why Klopp is messing about with the goalkeeper position. What our defence needs at the moment is stability and continuity. I don’t think changing the goalkeeper every game is necessary or useful.
-
Well we have to trust Jürgen Klopp on this one. The argument would be that he wants to keep all 3 keepers fresh, active & hungry. ?⚽️

Lovren, Matip, and Can Return
Liverpool Team: Mignolet, Gomez, Lovren, Matip, Moreno, Can, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Coutinho, Salah, Firmino.Subs: Karius, Milner, Sturridge, Solanke, Klavan, O […]

No surprise in this selection at all. I had doubts over the CB pairing due to ‘injury’ but good to see both make it. Say what you want about Lovren but statistically our strongest two. I wondered if TTA may have started as I think he is ‘better’ than Gomez in that position – at least in an attacking and pace.
With Mane on suspension for his third and final match, the front 3 are the expected 3, Midfield isn’t a surprise either…
Come on you REDS!!! YNWA -
This team should be strong enough to perform significantly better than we did in the League Cup on Tuesday night. The centre back pairing, hopefully, will give us more solidity at the back, and the attacking three should be a handful for the Leicester defence. A little surprised TTA didn’t get the nod ahead of Gomez.

Coutinho and Oxlade-Chamberlain start, Ings and Markovic on the bench
Liverpool Team: Ward, Flanagan, Gomez, Klavan, Robertson, Henderson, Grujic, Wijnaldum, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Coutinho, […]
-
My eyes are on Oxlade-Chamberlain to see he does starting in a red shirt. Would have like to see Woodburn start. I had forgotten we still had multi million pound Markovic! 🙂
-
He’s been OK – not shown ‘anything’ yet and still waiting to see ‘something’ that justifies our interest. I never really rated him at Arsenal. I know he can have his ‘moments’ but more often than not, justified why he has never been more than a ‘squad’ player. Klopp may well help him realise his potential, deliver the ‘good’ performances he can display on a regular basis. I also know he hasn’t had time to settle and a ‘match’ in great circumstances yet – although even with our dominance today, he has had a chance to force himself up the pecking order.
